Port Everglades

Port Everglades is in Fort Lauderdale, south of the airport, along the 17th Street corridor. It is a major home port. It is not “Miami, close enough.”

A florist who covers PortMiami does not automatically cover Port Everglades. The terminals, the hotels, and the drive are different. If a listing does not name this port, do not assume it.

Terminal vs hotel vs ship

The terminal is inside a port complex. Passenger florists rarely have a documented way to hand an arrangement to a specific terminal or pier office. “Fort Lauderdale cruise port” on a checkout form is not evidence of that process.

Hotels along SE 17th Street, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and the airport hotels are the practical passenger drops. The guest has to be staying there, or at least able to collect before boarding. A hotel on the beach in a different city is a different job.

Ship or pier delivery here, as elsewhere, is usually a cruise-line cabin program or a credentialed port vendor — not a national wire SKU that says “cruise ship” in a dropdown.

Cutoff realities

Morning embarkations leave a short window after hotel checkout. An evening-before hotel drop is more honest than a same-morning terminal promise. We publish a cutoff only when we have one. We mark it unverified when we do not.

If the ship has already sailed

The arrangement does not catch the ship. It sits at the hotel, comes back, or is discarded. That outcome should be written down before anyone pays.
